Andrew’s 2015 Holiday Gift Guide

Hello everyone!

As promised, here is my gift guide! Hopefully these guides are helpful this holiday season. We had a lot of fun making these, I’m pretty sure we will end up getting each other a few of these items!

1. Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens, $198.00 – If you have a DSLR with a cropped sensor, I would definitely take a look at this affordable lens! The large f/1.8 aperture means a lot of light can enter the lens, making it easier to shoot in low light (like indoors). As well, the large aperture means you get that fantastic, creamy, out-of-focus area that allows you isolate your subject. We use the big brother to this lens, and it rarely leaves my camera body.

2. ONA Bags, various prices – Pick up a stylish camera bag for you or your loved one. ONA has several designs for any amount of gear you want to carry.

3. Find Momo, $14.95 – What’s better than awesome photography? Well, awesome dogs and awesome photography of course! Canadian photographer Andrew Knapp and his best bud Momo travel the world in a yellow VW van and take photos in the coolest places! Momo likes hiding in the photographs which makes a fun game out of finding him.

4. STiiCKs Magnetic Poster Frame, $30.00 – Got a poster or print you want to show off? STiiCKs frames use real wood and magnets to frame art by clamping at the top and bottom. They have different sizes to fit nearly anything you want.

5. Camera Cookie Cutter Set, $18.00 – Another of my favourite combos…cookies and cameras! Make edible cameras for the whole family! Comes with three camera designs.

6. Impossible Instant Film, $32.00 – Still have an old Polaroid instant camera laying around? Bring it back to life with instant film from Impossible! Comes in B&W and color versions.

7. Image Cube Ornaments, $15.95 – Create your own custom Christmas ornaments using your favourite photographs! There are plenty of websites and local labs that should have just what you are looking for.

Thanks for taking a look! Have a Happy Holiday Season!

Andrew

Ashley’s 2015 Holiday Gift Guide

Hey Everyone!

The holiday’s are fast approaching and just like you we are planning family get togethers, gift exchanges and time spent with loved ones. We often get asked what we recommend for camera gear for people who love to take photos. Well this year I thought we should put together our personalized gift guides for the photography lover in your life.

1. Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera, $132.00 – I have this exact camera and it is so much fun! I use it mostly when we are at the cabin to take photos of the fish we catch. Those photos then get put on a wall at the cabin. I love to watch the gallery grow… full of the giant fish I catch!

2. Umbra ULove Frame, $15 – I also have this frame. In it is one of the photos from our engagement session. It sits in our living room and I get to see it everyday. Everything about this frame makes my heart smile.

3. Blurb Photo Books, $ varies – Great books, easy to make. You can order blurb books through smugmug, which is the online gallery we use to deliver all our client photos.

4. White Marble 8000 mAh Portrable Power Charger, $72 – We mostly use our phones to take photos when we travel, as you can imagine this drains our batteries pretty quick. This pretty charger is a lifesaver when you don’t want to be tied to a wall.

5. What the F-Stop Mug, $16 – Nothing like a good laugh and a good cup of coffee. Might as well combine the two, especially for those late night editing sessions.

6. Kate Spade Camera iPhone 6 Case, $35 – If you are going to use your phone for photos, you might as well let it dress the part.

7. Fujifilm Instax Mini Candy Pop Film, $20 – If #1 struck your fancy, you are going to need some super cute film for all those pictures!

8. Lifestyle Session with Depictured, starting at $200/hour – Get in front of the camera, hang out with us & get some super rad photos of you and the people you love! We always include 2 photographers, your images via online gallery and a couple laughs along the way.

Wishing you all a Holiday Season filled with love and laughter & memories to last a lifetime!

xoxo Ashley
